Flow characteristics of a round jet with divergent and convergent tapered annulus
The flow characteristics of round air jets with tapered annulus was investigated experimentally. The divergent and convergent tapered annulus was installed concentrically inside of the round nozzle.

Feasibility of Nitrogen as a Carrier Gas for Inconel Cold Spray in Hydropower Application
N2, despite being nearly two orders of magnitude cheaper than He, is a feasible carrier gas for cold spray Inconel coatings in hydropower repair applications when higher gas temperature and pressure are used. Reducing powder size significantly improved cavitation resistance, while the addition of fine chromium carbide particles further enhanced erosion

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Multianalyte, real‐time monitoring of bioprinted scaffolds remains challenging. Phosphorescence‐lifetime–based, optically responsive microparticles are embedded in diverse printable hydrogels (κ‐carrageenan, GelMA, PEGDA) to form biomaterial inks that report oxygen, glucose, lactate, and temperature.

Experimental and numerical study of heat flux in dual bell nozzles
The characteristic contour inflection of a dual bell nozzle is the key to altitude adaption. In sea level conditions, it forces the flow to a symmetrical separation, limiting the side load generation and increasing the thrust.

Evaluation of the efficiency of cleaning dental plaque on titanium using a cavitating jet
Dental plaque, which adheres to the surfaces of dental implants and remains in the gingival crevices, can cause peri-implantitis, which is similar to periodontal disease; consequently, cleaning the dental plaque from these surfaces is very important.

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Influence of Nozzle Geometry on Fluid Flow Parameters
The article discusses ways for optimization of a standard nozzle cup design to achieve a narrower paint flow. The analysis of a standard nozzle cup shows that distribution of air pressure is critically uneven both along the nozzle axis and in the radial ...
