An RFC4/Notch1 signaling feedback loop promotes NSCLC metastasis and stemness

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Notch signaling represents a key mechanism mediating cancer metastasis and stemness. To understand how Notch signaling is overactivated to couple tumor metastasis and self-renewal in NSCLC cells, we performed the current study and showed that RFC4, a DNA

Prognostic value of microRNA-4521 in non-small cell lung cancer and its regulatory effect on tumor progression

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2021
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a malignant tumor with the highest mortality rate in our country. It has been found in many studies that microRNA-4521 (miR-4521) is abnormally expressed and plays a role in clear cell renal cell carcinoma and other ...

Non-invasive decision support for NSCLC treatment using PET/CT radiomics

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Two major treatment strategies employed in non-small cell lung cancer, NSCLC, are tyrosine kinase inhibitors, TKIs, and immune checkpoint inhibitors, ICIs.

Circulating tumor DNA monitoring and blood tumor mutational burden in patients with metastatic solid tumors treated with atezolizumab

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

EGFR‐STAT3 activation provides a therapeutic rationale for targeting aggressive ETV1‐positive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cotargeting EGFR and STAT3 with Erlotinib and TTI‐101 impairs both 2D and 3D growth of ETV1‐overexpressing prostate cancer cells by disrupting a self‐sustaining ETV1–EGFR positive feedback loop that promotes EGFR and STAT3 expression and phosphorylation (activation).

Integrative miRNOMe profiling reveals the miR‐195‐5p–CHEK1 axis and its impact on luminal breast cancer outcomes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In luminal (ER+) breast carcinoma (BC), miRNA profiling identified miR‐195‐5p as a key regulator of proliferation that targets CHEK1, CDC25A, and CCNE1. High CHEK1 expression correlates with worse relapse‐free survival after chemotherapy, especially in patients with luminal A subtype.

The Expression of miR-320b in Extracellular Vesicles as a Predictor of the Progression of Non-small Cell Lung Carcinoma and Its Association with Molecular and Clinical Therapy Response

open access: yesForum of Clinical Oncology
Lung carcinoma remains a predominant contributor to cancer-related mortality globally. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are pivotal regulators in carcinogenesis. Specifically, miR-320b is a tumor suppressor in the oncogenic process.
