NSR STRING IN AdS3 BACKGROUND: NONLOCAL CHARGES [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2005
We consider NSR superstring in AdS3⊗S3⊗R4 background. The action is expressed in terms of the variables on the group manifolds SL (2, R) and SU(2) as (1+1)-dimensional σ-models with Wess–Zumino terms, associated with AdS3 and S3 respectively. R4 is the flat Euclidean space.

Sustainable and Seismically Resilient Confined Masonry: Global Progress in Research and Design Practice

open access: yesEarthquake Spectra, Volume 42, Issue 4, November 2026.
Modern confined masonry (CM) construction consists of masonry walls confined by reinforced concrete (RC) tie‐columns and tie‐beams. When built correctly, CM buildings have shown good performance in earthquake's shaking. Even though CM construction has been practised for almost a century in some Latin American countries, its use and standardisation are ...

NSR–SCR Combined Systems: Production and Use of Ammonia

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceThis chapter gives a critical overview of the recent advances in NOx abatement in excess of oxygen based on the combination of the NOx storage-reduction (NSR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) processes.

Discrepancy between international normalized ratio measurements in a heterozygous carrier of F10:p.Gly244Arg with recurrent venous thromboembolism: a case report

open access: yesResearch and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis
Background: The international normalized ratio (INR) is designed to monitor vitamin K antagonist (VKA) treatment. Before patients start a self-managing VKA program, parallel measurements are conducted to compare point-of-care testing (POCT) INR with ...

Melting ice, growing trade?

open access: yesElementa: Science of the Anthropocene, 2016
Large reductions in Arctic sea ice, most notably in summer, coupled with growing interest in Arctic shipping and resource exploitation have renewed interest in the economic potential of the Northern Sea Route (NSR).

Influence of Site Amplification Approaches in PSRA: Insights From Five Different Cities

open access: yesEarthquake Spectra, Volume 42, Issue 4, November 2026.
Regional and national seismic hazard models used in probabilistic seismic risk analysis often rely on generalized proxy‐based site terms to account for ground shaking amplification. This can result in coarse representations of site response, which can introduce bias or additional uncertainty in the associated risk results.

The evolutionary dynamics of molecular number of NSR in the modeling.

open access: yes, 2021
(a) A typical case for the spread of NSR. One NSR molecule is inoculate at step 1×104, and it replicates and becomes prosperous in the system [20]. Parameter values: PNF = 2×10−4, PNFR = 0.9, PND = 0.01, PRL = 2×10−6, PBB = 1×10−6, PAT = 0.1, PFP = 0.01,

NSR Catalytic Materials

open access: yes, 2018
Imagined in the 90's, the NOx-storage and reduction (NSR) process operates with alternative cycles of long lean phases (NOx storage) and short rich phases (NOx reduction). NSR catalysts should possess at least two components: a basic oxide for trapping the NOx and a metallic component for the NO oxidation and the reduction of stored NOx.

Preschool Duration, Family Background and Long‐Term Outcomes: Evidence From the Expansion of École Maternelle in France

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 5, Page 1032-1067, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper analyses the long‐term effects of preschool education in France. We focus on the effect of preschool duration on educational attainment and labour market earnings in adulthood. Building on an old tradition of free and universal pre‐primary education, France implemented in the late 1960s a large‐scale expansion of preschooling ...
