The Impact of a Visualized Steerable Sheath on Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation for First‐Time Atrial Fibrillation Ablation: A Prospective, Randomized, Single‐Blind Study

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 3, Page 924-934, September 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background A 3D electroanatomical mapping (3D‐EAM) visualized steerable sheath was designed to improve catheter placement and reduce radiation exposure during ablation, an established treatment for atrial fibrillation (AF). However, prospective randomized data comparing the procedural and clinical outcomes of visualized and non‐visualized ...

Synthesis of novel Fe-BiOCl based nanosheets assembled rod (FBC-NSR)-based photoactive materials: an effective photodegradation of antibiotics

open access: yesDiscover Sustainability
Fe-incorporated BiOCl-nanosheet assembled rods (FBC-NSR) based photoactive materials were synthesized using a simple sol–gel process to degrade tetracycline (TC) pharmaceuticals compound (PCs) under solar irradiation.

Nonspreading Rift Valley Fever Virus Infection of Human Dendritic Cells Results in Downregulation of CD83 and Full Maturation of Bystander Cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Vaccines based on nonspreading Rift Valley fever virus (NSR) induce strong humoral and robust cellular immune responses with pronounced Th1 polarisation. The present work was aimed to gain insight into the molecular basis of NSR-mediated immunity. Recent

SLE Presenting With Unilateral Loculated Pleural Effusion in a Young Hypertensive Female: A Rare Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT SLE can rarely present with unilateral pleural effusion or hypertension. A 28‐year‐old woman with loculated exudative pleural effusion was diagnosed with SLE and lupus nephritis fulfilling EULAR/ACR criteria, treated with pigtail drainage, corticosteroids, and hydroxychloroquine, with good recovery.

A novel role for the transcription factor Cwt1p as a negative regulator of nitrosative stress in Candida albicans.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
The ability of Candida albicans to survive in the presence of nitrosative stress during the initial contact with the host immune system is crucial for its ability to colonize mammalian hosts.

Implications of a fuel spill in the Bering and Chukchi Seas for two sentinel marine species: A simulation study

open access: yesEcological Applications, Volume 36, Issue 6, September 2026.
Abstract Sea‐ice decline has opened Arctic shipping routes lengthening the maritime transit season. Along the Northern Sea Route (NSR), vessel traffic is projected to increase primarily from natural resource development‐related traffic. The NSR traverses the range of the Chukchi Sea (CS) polar bear (Ursus maritimus) subpopulation, and Pacific walrus ...

Preparation and Characterization of the Typical Pt-NSR Catalyst

open access: yes, 2011
A series of Ba-Al-O NSR supports and Pt/Ba-Al-O NSR catalysts are prepared by co-precipitation and impregnation method in this work. The catalyst and the support are characterized by XRD, SEM, SBET performance testing.

On the NSR formulation of string theory on AdS5×S5 [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1999
We discuss the NSR formulation of the superstring action on AdS_5 X S^5 proposed recently by Kallosh and Tseytlin in the Green-Schwarz formalism. We show that the stress-energy tensor corresponding to the NSR action for AdS superstring contains the branelike terms, corresponding to exotic massless vertex operators (refered to as the branelike vertices).

The Prevalence and Factors Associated With HIV Testing among Adolescent Girls and Young Women in the Gambia–Evidence From the 2019/2020 Demographic and Health Survey

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aim Human Immuno‐deficiency Virus (HIV) testing serves as the essential entry point to prevention, treatment, and care. Despite progress, uptake remains low among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA), specifically The Gambia.

Greenhouse Gas Regulation under the Clean Air Act: A Guide for Economists [PDF]

open access: yes
Until recently, most attention to U.S. climate policy has focused on legislative efforts to introduce a price on carbon through cap and trade. In the absence of such legislation, the Clean Air Act is a potentially potent alternative.
