We established a spheroid coculture system enabling viable Porphyromonas gingivalis–HNSCC interactions under normoxic conditions. Inhibition of LATS1/2 maintains tumor cells in an undifferentiated state, which may promote spheroid growth and create a more permissive environment for bacterial persistence.

Biosynthesis of Bioactive Human Neurotrophic Factor 3 in Silkworms and Its Biomedical Applications
Neurotrophic factor 3 (NT-3), a potent neurotrophin, promotes neuronal survival and axonal regeneration while demonstrating a unique capacity to induce lineage-specific differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into functional neurons, underscoring its ...

The mammalian neurotrophins (NTs) NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4 constitute a family of secreted neuronal growth factors. In addition, NTs are implicated in several forms of activity-dependent synaptic plasticity.

Multilayer parking with screening on a random tree [PDF]
In this paper we present a multilayer particle deposition model on a random tree. We derive the time dependent densities of the first and second layer analytically and show that in all trees the limiting density of the first layer exceeds the density in ...

Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Effect of ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) on motoneuron survival [PDF]
We have demonstrated that the extensive degeneration of motoneurons in the rat facial nucleus after transection of the facial nerve in newborn rats can be prevented by local ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) administration.

The role of lipid metabolism in neuronal senescence
Disrupted lipid metabolism, through alterations in lipid species or lipid droplet accumulation, can drive neuronal senescence. However, lipid dyshomeostasis can also occur alongside neuronal senescence, further amplifying tissue damage. Delineating how lipid‐induced senescence emerges in neurons and glial cells, and how it contributes to ageing and ...

Serum 3-Nitrotyrosine in the Cardiovascular Disease of Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
3-Nitrotyrosine (3-NT) is a product of tyrosine nitration mediated by reactive nitrogen species such as peroxynitrite anion and nitrogen dioxide. It serves as an indicator of inflammation, cell damage, and nitric oxide production.
