Measurement of the 52Fe mass via the precise proton-decay energy of 53Com

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
The proton decay of 53Com(3174.1 keV; 19/2−) was investigated via the fragmentation of a 58Ni primary beam. The proton-decay energy was determined with an improved precision to be 1558(8) keV.

DsTau: study of tau neutrino production with 400 GeV protons from the CERN-SPS

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
In the DsTau experiment at the CERN SPS (NA65), an independent and direct way to measure tau neutrino production following high energy proton interactions was proposed.

Hadron properties in nuclear medium and their impacts on observables [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The effect of changes in hadron properties in a nuclear medium on physical observables is discussed. Highlighted results are, (1) hypernuclei, (2) meosn-nuclear bound states, (3) $K$-meson production in heavy ion collisions, and (4) $J/\Psi$ dissociation in a nuclear medium.

The strong decay patterns of $$Z_c$$ Zc and $$Z_b$$ Zb states in the relativized quark model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Employing the relativized quark model and the quark-interchange model, we investigate the decay of the charged heavy quarkonium-like states $$Z_c(3900)$$ Zc(3900) , $$Z_c(4020)$$ Zc(4020) , $$Z_c(4430)$$ Zc(4430) , $$Z_b(10610)$$ Zb(10610) and $$Z_b ...

Cross section measurements of the processes e + e − → ωπ 0 and ωη at center-of-mass energies between 3.773 and 4.701 GeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The Born cross sections of the processes e + e − → ωπ 0 and e + e − → ωη are measured at center-of-mass energies between 3.773 and 4.701 GeV using a total integrated luminosity of 22.7 fb −1 collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII ...

Parton saturation, production, and equilibration in high energy nuclear collisions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
Deeply inelastic scattering of electrons off nuclei can determine whether parton distributions saturate at HERA energies. If so, this phenomenon will also tell us a great deal about how particles are produced, and whether they equilibrate, in high energy nuclear collisions.

Intermediate/high energy nuclear physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
This report discusses progress on the following research: quark cluster model; solving quantum field theories in non-perturbative regime;relativistic wave equations, quarkonia and electron-positron resonances; nuclear dependence at large transverse momentum; factorization at the order of power corrections; single-spin asymmetries; and hadronic photon ...

Nuclear Physics Meets the Sources of the Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
AbstractThe determination of the injection composition of cosmic ray nuclei within astrophysical sources requires sufficiently accurate descriptions of the source physics and the propagation – apart from controlling astrophysical uncertainties. We therefore study the implications of nuclear data and models for cosmic ray astrophysics, which involves ...

Effects of cardiac motion on dose distribution during stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation treatment: A simulation and phantom study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Cardiac motion may degrade dose distribution during stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation using the CyberKnife system, a robotic radiosurgery system. This study evaluated the dose distribution changes using a self‐made cardiac dynamic platform that mimics cardiac motion. Methods The cardiac dynamic platform was operated with amplitudes

Selected strong decays of pentaquark State $$P_c(4312)$$ Pc(4312) in a chiral constituent quark model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
The newly confirmed pentaquark state $$P_c(4312)$$ Pc(4312) has been treated as a weakly bound $$(\Sigma _c\bar{D})$$ (ΣcD¯) state by a well-established chiral constituent quark model and by a dynamical calculation on quark degrees of freedom where the ...
