Has the QCD critical point been observed at RHIC? - A Rebuttal [PDF]
This note rebuts an old, but recurring claim by Antoniou, Davis and Diakonos [1] that the critical point and associated critical exponents reported in Ref. [2], is based on an erroneous treatment of scaling relations near the critical point.

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Formulæ and Equations in Nuclear Chemistry [PDF]
THE question which Prof. Lowry raises on p. 36 of NATURE of January 5 is one which has perforce exercised my mind in the last few days, since I am at present revising the final page-proofs of the report of the International Conference on Physics. He refers to the different positions in which the numerals indicating the mass and atomic number of a ...

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.
