β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Monte Carlo modeling and simulation of electron beam irradiation optimization for screwworm fly eradication through sterile insect technique

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
This study defined the basic requirements of an electron beam irradiation system to deliver an optimal dose uniformity ratio (DUR) for screwworm pupal irradiation for sterile insect technique (SIT) application through radiation physics modeling and ...

Constraining nuclear physics parameters with current and future COHERENT data

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
Motivated by the recent observation of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEνNS) at the COHERENT experiment, our goal is to explore its potential in probing important nuclear structure parameters.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Study on Influence of Nitric Acid Concentration on Criticality Safety

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
The nuclear criticality safety issue in spent fuel reprocessing facilities is closely related to the main process and is almost equally important. It is closely related to the design and operation of reprocessing facilities.

Nuclear symmetry energy in calcium-calcium collisions (INDRA-VAMOS)

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
The density dependence of the symmetry energy is of great interest to many fields of nuclear physics and nuclear astro-physics. The E503 INDRA-VAMOS experiment performed at GANIL in 2007 is intended to provide further sub-saturation constraints using ...

Heavy-flavour production in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC, measured with the ALICE detector

open access: yes, 2011
We present the first results from the ALICE experiment on the nuclear modification factors for heavy-flavour hadron production in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt{s_NN}=2.76 TeV. Using proton-proton and lead-lead collision samples at sqrt{s}=7 TeV and sqrt{s_NN}=

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
