Nuclear level densities and level spacing distributions
1986Extensive and complete level schemes and neutron resonance densities of 72 nuclides have been used to determine the spin cut-off parameter, parameters for level density formulae and level spacing distributions. The level spacing distributions indicate either very different nuclear structures or the existence of a further good quantum number at low ...

Nuclear level density with schematic forces
Physical Review C, 1978For a system of fermions interaction via a pure pairing force, exact level densities are obtained in a semirealistic model space. The results are transmitted through graphs and tables so that they are readily available for comparison with various approximate methods.

Nuclear level densities with blocking effect
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1981A formalism is presented for level density calculations of odd-N and/or -Z nuclei. A comparison is made with experimental data from the analysis of neutron resonances at binding energy.

Level densities and nuclear thermometry
2008AbstractBased on the Darwin-Fowler approximation various models for the many-body level density Ω are introduced, critically examined, and confronted with empirical parameterizations. This concerns both the macroscopic limit as well as the case where shell effects are included. Interpretations in the spirit of thermostatics are given.

Nuclear Level Densities in Astrophysics
1980The use of statistical nuclear level densities in astrophysics is briefly reviewed. Particular attention is given to the role of nuclear level density formulae in cross-section calculations for nucleosynthesis studies and to the effects of an assumed Fermi-gas model upon the properties of matter at very high temperature. The use of β-strength functions

Correlation of Nuclear Level Densities and Masses
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2006Level density parameters for 310 nuclei between 19F and 251Cf have been determined for the Back Shifted Fermi Gas and the Constant Temperature models, by fitting both low energy discrete levels and the s‐wave neutron resoance spacings. The determined parameters have been found well correlated with quantites available from the mass tables, and simple ...
