In this work, the effects of nuclear deformation and angular momentum on the thermodynamic properties of 184Re have been investigated. In this regard, we have used the mean gap BCS (MEGBCS) model to consider thermal fluctuations.

Puzzle of collective enhancement in the nuclear level density
The collective rotational enhancement in the nuclear level density (NLD) arising due to nuclear deformation is still not well understood due to sparse experimental findings.

Consistent assessment of neutron-induced activation of 93Nb
A concurrent assessment of all measured excitation functions for various reactions induced by neutrons on 93Nb, in addition to the results of TENDL-2021 and default parameters in TALYS-1.96, is given in this work.

Constrained model assumptions using recent data of α-particle reactions on 144Sm
Analysis of the latest high–precision cross sections of (α,γ) and (α,n) reactions on 144Sm below the Coulomb barrier is carried out using a consistent parameter set of the statistical model.

Parity-Dependence in the Nuclear Level Density [PDF]
Astrophysical reaction rates are sensitive to the parity distribution at low excitation energies. We combine a formula for the energy-dependent parity distribution with a microscopic-macroscopic nuclear level density.

Parity Dependence of Nuclear Level Densities [PDF]
A simple formula for the ratio of the number of odd- and even-parity states as a function of temperature is derived. This formula is used to calculate the ratio of level densities of opposite parities as a function of excitation energy. We test the formula with quantum Monte Carlo shell model calculations in the $(pf+g_{9/2})$-shell.

Microscopic calculation of symmetry projected nuclear level densities [PDF]
We present a quantum Monte Carlo method with exact projection on parity and angular momentum that is free of a sign problem for seniority-conserving nuclear interactions.

The biggest problem of structural materials for fusion reactor is the damage caused by the fusion product neutrons to the structural material. If this problem is overcomed, an important milestone will be left behind in fusion energy. One of the important

Power-law intensity distribution in $\gamma$-decay cascades -- Nuclear Structure as a Scale-Free Random Network [PDF]
By modeling the transition paths of the nuclear $\gamma$-decay cascade using a scale-free random network, we uncover a universal power-law distribution of $\gamma$-ray intensity $\rho_I(I) \propto I^{-2}$, with $I$ the $\gamma$-ray intensity of each ...

New treatment of the chiral SU(3) quark mean field model [PDF]
We perform a study of infinite hadronic matter, finite nuclei and hypernuclei with an improved method of calculating the effective baryon mass. A detailed study of the predictions of the model is made in comparison with the available data and the level ...
