Parity Dependence of Nuclear Level Densities [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2000
A simple formula for the ratio of the number of odd- and even-parity states as a function of temperature is derived. This formula is used to calculate the ratio of level densities of opposite parities as a function of excitation energy. We test the formula with quantum Monte Carlo shell model calculations in the $(pf+g_{9/2})$-shell.

Fermi-Gas Model Parametrization of Nuclear Level Density [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
The authors furnish a new parametrization of the Fermi-Gas model description of nuclear level densities at excitation energies corresponding to the neutron binding energy.

Theoretical Calculations of the Cross-sections for (n,α) and (n,xα) reactions on the Structural Material for Fusion Reactor 46-50Ti

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2021
The biggest problem of structural materials for fusion reactor is the damage caused by the fusion product neutrons to the structural material. If this problem is overcomed, an important milestone will be left behind in fusion energy. One of the important

Neutron- and neutrino-induced reactions : their physical description and influence on r-process calculations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
When I started this thesis my supervisors F. K. Thielemann and T. Rauscher spoke to me enthusiastically about the exciting and interesting field of nuclear astrophysics at our very first meeting.

Nuclear level density and thermal properties of [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The nuclear level density of $$^{115}\hbox {Sn}$$ has been measured in an excitation energy range of $$\sim 2$$–9 MeV using the experimental neutron evaporation spectra from the $$^{115}\hbox {In}$$(p, n)$$^{115}\hbox {Sn}$$ reaction.

Fission as a relevant probe of the nuclear level density away from β-stability

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
Fission at moderate to high excitation energy is proposed as an innovative approach to study the evolution of the nuclear level density (NLD) away from β-stability.

Combinatorial nuclear level-density model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A microscopic nuclear level-density model is presented. The model is a completely combinatorial (micro-canonical) model based on the folded-Yukawa single-particle potential and includes explicit treatment of pairing, rotational and vibrational states ...

Vibrational enhancement of nuclear level density [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2006
Effect of vibrational state damping on enhancement of nuclear level density due to vibrational states is analysed. The coefficient of the nuclear level density enhancement due to the collective vibrations with allowance for quadrupole and octupole ...

Nuclear structure data obtained by the (nth,2γ) reaction [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2023
The determination of nuclear structure parameters such as gamma transitions, level scheme, nuclear level density and radiative strength functions is one of the most important tasks in low-energy nuclear physics.
