Studies on Nuclear Structure and Nuclear Dynamics Using Cb-TDHFB

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2020
In this paper, we briefly review the studies on nuclear structure and nuclear dynamics using the Canonical-basis time-dependent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (Cb-TDHFB) theory which is one of the time-dependent mean-field models which deal with nuclear pairing

Hadrons in the Nuclear Medium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
In this talk I first discuss predictions based on QCD sum rules and on hadronic models for the properties of vector mesons in the nuclear medium. I then describe possible experimental signatures and show detailed predictions for dilepton invariant mass ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Generic Constraints on the Relativistic Mean-Field and Skyrme-Hartree-Fock Models from the Pure Neutron Matter Equation of State

open access: yes, 2012
We study the nuclear symmetry energy S(rho) and related quantities of nuclear physics and nuclear astrophysics predicted generically by relativistic mean-field (RMF) and Skyrme-Hartree-Fock (SHF) models.

Relativistic Mean-Field Hadronic Models under Nuclear Matter Constraints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Relativistic mean-field (RMF) models have been widely used in the study of many hadronic frameworks because of several important aspects not always present in nonrelativistic models, such as intrinsic Lorentz covariance, automatic inclusion of spin ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Microscopic Nuclear Reaction Models: Bridging Microscopic Theory and Nuclear Data. In Memory of Eric Bauge [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
A major goal in the field of nuclear reaction modeling has been to move from phenomenological models to predictive, microscopic theories—a central focus at CEA/DAM since the mid-1970s.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Quark and Nuclear Matter in the Linear Chiral Meson Model

open access: yes, 2003
We present an analytical description of the phase transitions from a nucleon gas to nuclear matter and from nuclear matter to quark matter within the same model.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
