Decay of muons generated by laser-induced processes in ultra-dense hydrogen H(0)
This work reports identification of muons by their characteristic life-time of 2.20 μs after laser-induction of their precursor mesons, both kaons K± and KL0 and pions π± in ultra-dense hydrogen H(0).

Applications of nuclear physics [PDF]
Today the applications of nuclear physics span a very broad range of topics and fields. This review discusses a number of aspects of these applications, including selected topics and concepts in nuclear reactor physics, nuclear fusion, nuclear non-proliferation, nuclear-geophysics, and nuclear medicine.

PERSPECTIVES OF NUCLEAR PHYSICS [PDF]
The organizers of this meeting have asked me to present perspectives of nuclear physics. This means to identify the areas where nuclear physics will be expanding in the next future. In six chapters a short overview of these areas will be given, where I expect that nuclear physics willdevelop quite fast: A.

Chemistry aided nuclear physics studies
Studies of the superheavy elements bring several challenges through low production yields, short half-lives, and high background rates. This paper describes the possibilities of chemical separations as techniques to overcome the background problematic ...

Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics Constraints on the High Density Matter Equation of State
(1) This review has been written in memory of Steven Moszkowski who unexpectedly passed away in December 2020. It has been inspired by our many years of discussions. Steven’s enthusiasm, drive and determination to understand atomic nuclei in simple terms

Nuclear physics in the cosmos [PDF]
We observe photons and neutrinos from stars. Based on these observations, complemented by measurements of cosmic rays energies and composition, we have been able to constrain several models for the Big Bang and for stellar evolution. But that is not enough. We also need to help this effort with laboratory experiments.

DYN3D and CTF Coupling within a Multiscale and Multiphysics Software Development (Part II)
Traditionally, the complex coupled physical phenomena in nuclear reactors has resulted in them being treated separately or, at most, simplistically coupled in between within nuclear codes.

Nuclear physics of the outer layers of accreting neutron stars [PDF]
Now 50 years since the existence of the neutron star crust was proposed, we review the current understanding of the nuclear physics of the outer layers of accreting neutron stars.
