Evaluation of an EPID in vivo monitoring system using local and external independent audit measurements

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose The aim of this work was to evaluate the SunCHECK PerFRACTION, the software for in vivo monitoring using EPID images. Materials/Methods First, the PerFRACTION ability to detect errors was investigated simulating two situations: (1) variation of LINAC output and (2) variation of the phantom thickness.

Effects of sequential decay on collective flows and nuclear stopping power in heavy-ion collisions at intermediate energies [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Sci.Tech. 34 (2023) 4, 62, 2023
In this study, the rapidity distribution, collective flows, and nuclear stopping power in $^{197}\mathrm{Au}+^{197}\mathrm{Au}$ collisions at intermediate energies were investigated using the ultrarelativistic quantum molecular dynamics (UrQMD) model with GEMINI++ code.

Digital radiography image quality evaluation using various phantoms and software

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose To investigate the effect of the exposure parameters on image quality (IQ) metrics of phantom images, obtained automatically using software or from visual evaluation. Methods Three commercial phantoms and a homemade phantom constructed according to the instructions given in the IAEA Human Health Series No.

Power Moments and Scaling Properties of Nuclear Emulsion Data [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.C50:3025-3032,1994, 1994
Various features of the charge yield in heavy ion collisions are studied. Considered here are the nuclear emulsion data of $^{84}$Kr, $^{131}$Xe, $^{197}$Au, $^{238}$U in the energy range of 1 GeV/A. Mean charge yields and multiplicity distribution of these data indicate that the nuclear fragmentation at this energy is a multiprocess phenomena.
