Mapping Hsp104 interactions using cross‐linking mass spectrometry

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study examines how cross‐linking mass spectrometry can be utilized to analyze ATP‐induced conformational changes in Hsp104 and its interactions with substrates. We developed an analytical pipeline to distinguish between intra‐ and inter‐subunit contacts within the hexameric homo‐oligomer and discovered contacts between Hsp104 and a selected ...

Odd-odd Magnetic Interaction and Spontaneous Ortho-para Transitions in Molecule and Molecular Hydrogen Ion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
Spontaneous nuclear ortho-para transitions are shown to be possible in hydrogen molecule and molecular ion as due to hyperfine interaction odd-odd relative to the space or spin nuclear coordinate permutations. A part of this interaction inversely proportional to the first power of nuclear mass is found for hydrogen molecular ion.

Bioengineering facets of the tumor microenvironment in 3D tumor models: insights into cellular, biophysical and biochemical interactions

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The tumor microenvironment is a dynamic, multifaceted complex system of interdependent cellular, biochemical, and biophysical components. Three‐dimensional in vitro models of the tumor microenvironment enable a better understanding of these interactions and their impact on cancer progression and therapeutic resistance.

Theoretical Aspects of Science with Radioactive Nuclear Beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Physics of radioactive nuclear beams is one of the main frontiers of nuclear science today. Experimentally, thanks to technological developments, we are on the verge of invading the territory of extreme N/Z ratios in an unprecedented way. Theoretically, nuclear exotica represent a formidable challenge for the nuclear many-body theories and their power ...

Evaluation of Stopping Powers of Superheavy Ions with $\it{Z}$ up to 124 in Al and U [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Electronic and nuclear stopping powers of superheavy ions with $\it{Z}$ up to 124 and $\it{A}$=300 in Al and U were estimated in the energy range of 0.01-0.20 MeV/u. The corresponding stopping powers were estimated using stopping powers of ions with 6$\leq$$\it{Z}$$\leq$92 obtained from SRIM.
