Analysis of TiN by charged particle beams: Nuclear reaction analysis, nuclear reaction broadening and Rutherford backscattering [PDF]
Charged particle beams have been used to extract data both on the composition and also on the thickness of two series of TiNx films (about 5 and 2 [mu]m thick respectively), where x varied from 0.3 to 1.0.

Soft Dipole Resonances in 8He and 8C [PDF]
Soft dipole resonances in 8He and 8C are investigated by applying the complex scaling method to the α + N + N + N + N five-body model for the isospin T = 2 system.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Study of low-lying proton unbound states in 24Al using the 24Mg(3He; t)24Al reaction.
>Magister Scientiae - MScThis MSc project entails a study of astrophysically relevant states in 24Al, that are important for a better understanding of the 23Mg(p, )24Al nuclear reaction rate in classical novae. This is a crucial breakout reaction that
