We investigate the possibility of measuring the pion dispersion relation in nuclear matter through the anomalous coupling in the reaction \gamma - \gamma' \pi_0. It is shown that this reaction permits the study of pionic modes for space-like momenta.

C12+12C fusion S⁎-factor from a full-microscopic nuclear model
The C12+12C fusion reaction plays a vital role in the explosive phenomena of the universe. The resonances in the Gamow window rule its reaction rate and products.

C12+16O molecular resonances at deep sub-barrier energy
The existence of C12+16O molecular resonances at sub-barrier energy has been a significant problem in nuclear astrophysics because they strongly affect the C12+16O fusion reaction rate in type Ia supernovae and heavy stars.

Reinvestigating the Gamow Factor of Reactions on Light Nuclei
We present a modified Gamow factor by reinvestigating the conventional assumptions used in its derivation. The conventional Gamow factor, factorized from the total cross section, effectively describes the penetration probabilities (PPs) in low-energy ...

Coulomb and nuclear effects in breakup and reaction cross sections
We use a three-body Continuum Discretized Coupled Channel (CDCC) model to investigate Coulomb and nuclear effects in breakup and reaction cross sections.

Formation of 24Mg* in the Splitting of 28Si Nuclei by 1-GeV Protons [PDF]
The 28Si(p, p' gamma)24Mg reaction has been studied at the ITEP accelerator by the hadron-gamma coincidence method for a proton energy of 1 GeV. Two reaction products are detected: a 1368.6-keV gamma-ray photon accompanying the transition of the 24Mg ...

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

The first unbound states of mirror 9Be and 9B nuclei
The structures of the first excited states of mirror 9Be and 9B nuclei are studied by using the α + α + N three-body model and the complex scaling method.
