On the relationship between the multi-region relaxed variational principle and resistive inner layer theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
We show that the variational energy principle of multi-region relaxed magnetohydrodynamic (MRxMHD) model can be used to predict finite-pressure linear tearing instabilities.

Precision Calculation of Hyperfine Constants for Extracting Nuclear Moments of ^{229}Th. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2021
Determination of nuclear moments for many nuclei relies on the computation of hyperfine constants, with theoretical uncertainties directly affecting the resulting uncertainties of the nuclear moments.

Covariant density functional theory for nuclear fission based on a two-center harmonic oscillator basis [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2023
Nowdays, modern microscopic approaches for fission are generally based on the framework of nuclear density functional theory (DFT), which has enabled a self-consistent treatment of both static and dynamic aspects of fission. The key issue is a DFT solver

Solitonic Excitations In Collisions Of Superfluid Nuclei [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of The 26th International Nuclear Physics Conference — PoS(INPC2016), 2017
We investigate the role of the pairing field dynamics in low-energy heavy ion reactions within the nuclear time-dependent density functional theory extended to superfluid systems.

Semiclassical origin of nuclear ground-state octupole deformations [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2023
Background: Ground-state octupole deformations are suggested in nuclei located in the north-east neighbor of the doubly magic nuclei on the nuclear chart (N,Z), such as those in Ba and Ra-Th regions.

LncRNA LIMp27 Regulates the DNA Damage Response through p27 in p53‐Defective Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 10, Issue 7, March 3, 2023., 2023
P53 inactivation occurs in ≈50% of human cancers, and p53‐deficient cancer cells are often resistant to chemotherapy‐induced apoptosis. Here, this work uncovers a long nonprotein‐coding RNA LIMp27 mechanism that promotes the pathogenesis of p53‐deficient cancers and suggest that targeting LIMp27 alone or in combination with chemotherapy may benefit ...

Breast PET/MRI Hybrid Imaging and Targeted Tracers

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 57, Issue 2, Page 370-386, February 2023., 2023
The recent introduction of hybrid positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) as a promising imaging modality for breast cancer assessment has prompted fervent research activity on its clinical applications. The current knowledge regarding the possible clinical applications of hybrid PET/MRI is constantly evolving, thanks to the ...

Phase‐Field Simulations of the Morphology Formation in Evaporating Crystalline Multicomponent Films

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, Volume 5, Issue 10, October 2022., 2022
A coupled phase‐field‐fluid dynamics framework is developed to simulate morphology formation of multicomponent crystalline thin films upon drying. The behavior of the coupled model is verified. Simulations of the morphology formation in a ternary drying film undergoing evaporation‐induced liquid–liquid phase separation and crystallization are presented

Access to the Kaon Radius with Kaonic Atoms

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 534, Issue 3, March 2022., 2022
Herein, a method to determine the kaon radius from the spectra of kaonic atoms by analyzing the few lowest‐lying transitions in a wide nuclear charge range is proposed, taking into account leading‐order QED and nuclear‐size effects. Additionally, the opportunities for extracting the kaon mass and nuclear radii are demonstrated.
