A Novel Function of Nonadecanoic Acid in Regulating Glucose Homeostasis
This study identifies the odd‐chain fatty acid C19:0 as an endogenous ligand of GPR120 that promotes glucose homeostasis via Gαq signaling. In obesity, elevated palmitic acid suppresses endogenous C19:0 production through a miRNA–PPARα–HACL1 pathway, offering a promising direction for understanding the role of OCFAs in human health.

By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

Quench cooling under reduced gravity
We report the quench cooling experiments performed with liquid O2 under different levels of gravity simulated with the magnetic gravity compensation. A copper disk is quenched from 270K to 90K.

By integrating single‐nuclei and spatial transcriptomics, this study presents a stereoscopic landscape of maize leaf to Puccinia polysora infection. Epidermal and mesophyll cells initiate primary defenses via RLPs/RLKs and jasmonic acid signaling. Cell‐cell communication analyses further reveal the underlying the dynamics of the underlying immune ...

We report a new thiolate‐reactive α,α‐gem‐dibromo lactam warhead that activates transcription factor Nrf2 and demonstrates anti‐inflammatory activities, which have implications in cancer, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases. RNA‐seq illuminated detailed transcriptional profiles, and chemical reactions with cysteine‐containing compounds ...

This study reveals the mechanism by which jasmonic acid (JA) regulates lycopene synthesis under light and dark conditions. In light, JA activates SlMYC2, which suppresses SlPIF1a and promotes SlPSY1 expression. In darkness, JA induces the acetyltransferase SlNATA1, which acetylates the dark‐accumulated SlPIF1a, thereby repressing SlPSY1 expression ...

The nucleate boiling in a droplet of aqueous salt solution
This paper is devoted to an experimental study of the dynamics of the nucleate boiling in a droplet of aqueous solution of LiBr salt. As the concentration of LiBr salt increases, the growth rate of the bubbles decreases and the boiling completely stops ...

Nucleate pool boiling investigation on a silicon test section with micro-fabricated cavities [PDF]
The basic mechanisms of nucleate boiling are still not completely understood, in spite of the many numerical and experimental studies dedicated to the topic.
