THIOL GROUPS IN DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID NUCLEOTIDYLTRANSFERASE [PDF]
1. The inhibitory effects of iodoacetate, iodoacetamide, p-hydroxymercuribenzoate and sarkomycin were studied in a partially purified preparation of deoxyribonucleic acid nucleotidyltransferase from Landschutz ascites-tumour cells. All of these agents inhibited the activity of the enzyme, and it was shown that the inhibition exerted by the last three ...

A RARE CAUSE OF SIDEROBLASTIC ANEMIA: TRNT1 MUTATION
Case report: tRNA nucleotidyltransferase 1(TRNT1) gene encodes a polymerase involved in the maturation of cytosolic and mitochondrial transfer RNAs. Autosomal recessive loss of function mutations of TRNT1 leads sideroblastic anemia, immunodeficiency ...

TENT5C functions as a corepressor in the ligand-bound glucocorticoid receptor and estrogen receptor α complexes. [PDF]
TENT5C is a suppressor of ERα and GR transcriptional activation. A specific LXXLL motif in TENT5C, absent in the other members of the TENT5 subfamily, mediates a stable interaction with the Ligand Binding Domain of ERα but not with that of GR.

Transfer RNA nucleotidyltransferase repairs all transfer RNAs randomly
Total Escherichia coli transfer RNA was converted to tRNA-C-C by periodate oxidation and partially repaired with either E. coli or rabbit liver tRNA nucleotidyltransferase. Aminoacylation of the partially repaired molecules indicated that individual tRNA species were each repaired to the same extent as the total population of molecules.

A Phylogeny of Bacterial RNA Nucleotidyltransferases: Bacillus halodurans Contains Two tRNA Nucleotidyltransferases [PDF]
ABSTRACT We have analyzed the distribution of RNA nucleotidyltransferases from the family that includes poly(A) polymerases (PAP) and tRNA nucleotidyltransferases (TNT) in 43 bacterial species. Genes of several bacterial species encode only one member of the nucleotidyltransferase superfamily (NTSF), and if that protein functions
