Multifractal analysis of nucleus-nucleus interactions

Physical Review D, 1993
We have performed a multifractal ([ital G]-moment) analysis of 14.6--200 GeV/nucleon nucleus-nucleus and 200--800 GeV proton-nucleus interactions from KLM and Fermilab E-90 and E-508 emulsion data, including explicit corrections for the finite statistical sample.

Mechanics of the Nucleus

Comprehensive Physiology, 2011
AbstractThe nucleus is the distinguishing feature of eukaryotic cells. Until recently, it was often considered simply as a unique compartment containing the genetic information of the cell and associated machinery, without much attention to its structure and mechanical properties.

Nucleus-nucleus optical potential

Physical Review C, 1975
The real part of the nucleus-nucleus potential is calculated by using a density-dependent effective interaction where the local density takes into account the contribution of both the projectile and the target densities. The results indicate that the repulsion produced by the density-dependent part of the interaction is important when the densities of ...

Relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions

Nuclear Physics A, 1985
Abstract Recent investigations of relativistic heavy ion collisions are reviewed. In particular, use of 4π detector systems. Streamer Chamber and Plastic Ball, has yielded insight into the mechanisms of thermal and chemical equilibrium establishment at Bevalac and Dubna energies, as required for the formation of compressed fireball matter ...

Hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus interactions at accelerator energies

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1993
Multiparticle production and generators via hadron‐nucleus and nucleus‐nucleus interactions are described, electron‐positron interactions, deep‐inelastic lepton‐nucleon scattering, and hard strong interactions are studied. (AIP)
