Breaking the Durability–Power Trade‐Off: Boron‐Directed Faceted O3 Cathodes for High‐Rate Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Boron‐oxide‐assisted particle engineering stabilizes O3‐type layered cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries by mitigating phase transitions and lattice strain. Acting as flux and structural modifier, boron forms submicron hexagonal platelets with (003) facets and expanded Na‐layer spacing, enabling rapid Na⁺ diffusion and mechanical resilience.

Nudge Theory

open access: yes, 2016
The quality of our historic environment ultimately depends on those who are responsible for its constituent components – the buildings, the spaces between the buildings and the landscape or townscape features. Key decisions affecting its qualities are largely controlled by individuals who live in the community, whether as homeowners, business owners or

Nudged elastic band method in the CRYSTAL code: Theory and Applications

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics
The nudged elastic band (NEB) method is a widely used algorithm for determining minimum energy paths and transition states in chemical reactions and phase transitions. In this work, we present the implementation of different NEB algorithm schemes in the CRYSTAL code, a quantum mechanical ab initio program for the calculation of electronic properties of

Nudge Theory: Literature, Effectiveness, Applications, Implications and Recommendations

open access: yes, 2022
Nudge theory is a concept that proposes adaptive designs in order to shape the environment—also known as choice architecture—as a way to influence the behaviour and decision-making of groups or individuals. This leads to an increase in the intended behaviour.

Kenyan Farmers' Policy Priorities During Economic Crisis and Stability: Insights From a Best‐Worst Scaling Experiment

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Amid rising food and fertilizer prices, understanding farmers' policy preferences is critical for effective crisis response. We use best‐worst scaling experiment to assess Kenyan mobile‐owning crop farmers' preferences for government support under high and normal price scenarios.

Improving health behaviors through microenvironment changes: the effect of contextualized visual cues on handwashing practices among primary school pupils in Jiujiang City of China

open access: yesFrontiers in Communication
School hand hygiene is essential for reducing infectious diseases transmission, yet routine compliance remains suboptimal. We evaluated whether low-cost, context-embedded “point-of-action” visual cues can improve primary pupils’ handwashing in everyday ...

Accounting for Substitution: Improving Estimates of GHG Reductions From Cattle‐Based Product Demand Shifts

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Estimates of reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from lower demand for cattle‐based products must account for substitution effects. This study collected data through two surveys—one on ground beef and another on dairy milk—to evaluate substitution effects and potential GHG reductions.
