Fully Modified GLS Estimation for Seemingly Unrelated Cointegrating Polynomial Regressions

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 3, Page 473-483, June 2026.
ABSTRACT A new feasible generalized least squares estimator is proposed. Our estimator incorporates (1) the inverse autocovariance matrix of multidimensional errors, and (2) second‐order bias corrections. The resulting estimator has the intuitive interpretation of applying a weighted least squares objective function to filtered data series.

Transcriptomic and Neuroimaging Decoding of Brain‐Immune Crosstalk in Thyroid Eye Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 27, 13 May 2026.
This study employed an imaging transcriptomics framework integrating resting‐state fMRI with Allen Human Brain Atlas transcriptomic data, coupled with peripheral blood RNA sequencing, to decode brain‐immune crosstalk in thyroid eye disease. Frontal, parietal, subcortical, and brainstem regions were identified as key neuroimmune‐ vulnerable regions ...

Spread and Population Dynamics of Rugulopteryx okamurae Across the Azores Archipelago (NE Atlantic)

open access: yesAquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems, Volume 36, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Rugulopteryx okamurae is a recently introduced brown macroalga that has expanded rapidly across the Azores (NE Atlantic). This study provides an update of the archipelago‐wide spatial spread and the first assessment of its local population dynamics.

Aberrant Brain Entropy in Alzheimer's Disease: Evidence From a Resting‐State fMRI Study

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The neurodegenerative disorder, Alzheimer's disease (AD), is typified by insidious onset and increasing prevalence with advancing age. It primarily causes comprehensive functional decline in memory, language, and executive control.

‘Crossing the Line’: Child Protection and Welfare Managers' and Social Workers' Experiences of Social Media, Online and Digital Abuse and Harassment in Ireland

open access: yesChild Abuse Review, Volume 35, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Users of child protection social work and/or their families are fully entitled to express their dissatisfaction with the professional or service through both formal and informal channels. Fair criticism and dissatisfaction can sometimes, however, escalate and cross the line into violence, harassment and abuse (VHA).

Correspondence of Basal Forebrain Resting‐State Functional Connectivity and Cerebral Glucose Metabolism Alterations With Neurotransmitter Maps in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 5, May 2026.
Altered functional connectivity of basal forebrain subregions (Ch1‐3, Ch4) and widespread cerebral hypometabolism were identified in Alzheimer's disease using simultaneous PET/MRI. Spatial correspondence with normative neurotransmitter receptor and transporter maps suggested that serotonergic and dopaminergic systems may contribute to AD‐related ...
