Null Controllability of a Fluid-Structure System

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2013
We study a coupled fluid-structure system. The structure corresponds to a part of the boundary of a domain containing an incompressible viscous fluid. The structure displacement is modeled by an ordinary differential equation. We prove the local null controllability of the system when the control acts on a fixed subset of the fluid domain.

Null controllability of AMCD-spacecraft attitude control system

International Journal of Systems Science, 1978
Advances in the technology of dual-spin stabilization have rendered it possible to design a new attitude control actuator which is presently under extensive investigation at Langley Research Center, NASA, Stability and Control Division. A proto-type model of this concept is presently being tested at the research centre.

Null-controllability of discrete-time positive control systems

International Journal of Control, 1993
Abstract The discrete-time linear positive and quasilinear monotone systems are considered. The set of initial points is restricted to be the cone of non-negative vectors. The input belongs to the cone of non-positive vectors. The necessary and sufficient conditions of null-controllability for linear systems are obtained.

Simultaneous null controllability with constraint on the control

Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2013
This paper is concerned with the simultaneous null controllability with constraint on the control, for a system of coupled linear heat equations. First, we show that, by means of a change of variable, a system of two linear heat equations with a same control can be rewritten in the form of a system of linear heat equations with a control function ...

Null controllability of linear systems with control restraints

1971 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1971
This paper provides some necessary conditions and some sufficient conditions for the null controllability of constant linear systems and a class of time-varying linear systems. The approach provides geometrical interpretations of the usual algebraic criteria and gives insight into the effects of restrained controls.

Pseudoinverses and null space velocity controller

Proceedings of IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems, 2002
In the paper we compare the influence of unweighted and inertia weighted pseudoinverse on controlling null space velocity of kinematically redundant manipulators. We show that with appropriate null space velocity controller we can decouple the system on acceleration level using both unweighted and inertia weighted pseudoinverse, while on force level ...

Practical Stabilization on Null Controllable Region

2019
It is well known that disturbances exist in most practical controlled processes due to friction, load variation, measurement noises, sensor errors, actuator errors and so on. Hence, it becomes a crucial problem that how to disturbance rejection and guarantee stability for control systems [126, 127]. In [177], composite anti-disturbance control problems

Output-Nulling Invariant and Controllability Subspaces

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1975
Abstract Invariant and controllability subspaces are studied in connection with the problem of zeroing the output of a finite-dimensional linear system with a transfer function matrix that is not necessarily zero for infinite frequencies. The concept of output-nulling invariant and controllability subspaces is introduced, and the existence of maximal
