Referential Subject and Object Gaps in Modern Icelandic
This paper investigates the nature of subject and object gaps in coordinate structures in Modern Icelandic. Modern Icelandic is considered to be a semi-pro-drop language, since it generally licenses only generic null subjects; object gaps only occur in ...

The interior structure of rotating black holes 1. Concise derivation [PDF]
This paper presents a concise derivation of a new set of solutions for the interior structure of accreting, rotating black holes. The solutions are conformally stationary, axisymmetric, and conformally separable.

Differential expression analysis with global network adjustment [PDF]
<p>Background: Large-scale chromosomal deletions or other non-specific perturbations of the transcriptome can alter the expression of hundreds or thousands of genes, and it is of biological interest to understand which genes are most profoundly ...

Critical Collapse of the Massless Scalar Field in Axisymmetry [PDF]
We present results from a numerical study of critical gravitational collapse of axisymmetric distributions of massless scalar field energy. We find threshold behavior that can be described by the spherically symmetric critical solution with axisymmetric ...

Gravitational Collapse in Constant Potential Bath [PDF]
We analyse here the gravitational collapse of directed null radiation in a background with a constant potential such as one produced by a star system like galaxy in which the collapsing object is immersed.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Bland–Altman Limits of Agreement from a Bayesian and Frequentist Perspective
Bland–Altman agreement analysis has gained widespread application across disciplines, last but not least in health sciences, since its inception in the 1980s.

The Null Subject Parameter and Teaching Spanish as a foreign language. A Grammatical reflection [PDF]
En este artículo se aborda la aplicación del Parámetro del Sujeto Nulo en el proceso de adquisición del español como L2. Una vez detectadas las dificultades que esta aplicación entraña, se postula la importancia de la reflexión gramatical en el proceso ...

Interpolating from Bianchi Attractors to Lifshitz and AdS Spacetimes [PDF]
We construct classes of smooth metrics which interpolate from Bianchi attractor geometries of Types II, III, VI and IX in the IR to Lifshitz or $AdS_2 \times S^3$ geometries in the UV. While we do not obtain these metrics as solutions of Einstein gravity
