Convergence analysis of numerical schemes for the Darcy-Forchheimer problem [PDF]
This paper deals with the Darcy-Forchheimer problem with two kinds of boundary conditions. We discretize the system by using the finite element methods and we propose two iterative schemes to solve the discrete problems. The well-posedness and the convergence of the corresponding iterative problems are then proven.

Numerical Analysis of Parallel Replica Dynamics
Parallel replica dynamics is a method for accelerating the computation of processes characterized by a sequence of infrequent events. In this work, the processes are governed by the overdamped Langevin equation.

Splitting Circle Overview [PDF]
This paper derives numerical bounds for and implements the splitting circle method for finding roots of a univariate polynomial in the presence of fixed precision.

A Comparison of SOR, ADI and Multigrid Methods for Solving Partial Differential Equations [PDF]
This article presents several numerical techniques for solving Laplace equation. A numerical FORTRAN solver is developed to solve the 2D laplace equation. The numerical approaches implemented in the solver include Jacobi, Gauss-Siedel, Successive Over Relaxation, Alternating Direct Implicit and Multigrid methods.

Numerical Analysis of Black Hole Evaporation
Black hole formation/evaporation in two-dimensional dilaton gravity can be described, in the limit where the number $N$ of matter fields becomes large, by a set of second-order partial differential equations.

Simulating elliptic diffusions and orthogonal invariance [PDF]
We study numerical methods for simulating diffusions that exploit the orthogonal invariance of the Gaussian law, building on the work of Cruzeiro, Malliavin and Thalmeier.

Gridded fields (analyses) of global monthly precipitation have been constructed on a 2.5° latitude–longitude grid for the 17-yr period from 1979 to 1995 by merging several kinds of information sources with different characteristics, including gauge ...

Mode analysis of numerical geodynamo models
It has been suggested in Hoyng (2009) that dynamo action can be analysed by expansion of the magnetic field into dynamo modes and statistical evaluation of the mode coefficients.
