A Novel Hexahedron Photonic Crystal Fiber in Terahertz Propagation: Design and Analysis
A novel hexahedron fiber has been proposed for biomedical imaging applications and efficient guiding of terahertz radiation. A finite element method (FEM) has been applied to investigate the guiding properties rigorously.

Variable immersion microscopy with a high numerical aperture
Three-dimensional (3D) optical microscopy with a high numerical aperture (NA) remains challenging for thick biological specimens owing to aberrations arising from interface refractions. We developed a variable immersion lens (VIL) to passively minimize these aberrations.

Eigenvalue calibration methods for polarimetry [PDF]
Complex polarisation sensitive systems such as imaging Mueller matrix polarimeters are commonly calibrated using the eigenvalue calibration method. In this paper we present an extensive review of the method and an existing variant.

Thin high numerical aperture metalens
We designed, fabricated, and characterized a thin metalens in an amorphous silicon film of diameter 30 µm, focal length equal to the incident wavelength 633 nm. The lens is capable of simultaneously manipulating the state of polarization and phase of incident light.

Enhancing Bubble Removal in Geometry‐Optimized Electrodes
3D‐printed lattice electrodes outperform stochastic foams in alkaline water electrolysis despite 20%–25% lower surface area. Straight flow channels generate Venturi‐like bubble entrainment, suppressing gas accumulation that renders foam interiors electrochemically inactive.
