Symbolic and numerical regression: experiments and applications
Information Sciences, 2001This paper describes a new method for creating polynomial regression models. The new method is compared with stepwise regression and symbolic regression using three example problems. The first example is a polynomial equation. The two examples that follow are real-world problems, approximating the Colebrook-White equation and rainfall-runoff modelling.

Numerical Experiments for Advection Equation
Journal of Computational Physics, 1993Numerical schemes derived by combining the Crowley fourth-order scheme and modified Gadd schemes are applied for solving the linear advection equation, the solid rotation and the uniform velocity flows. Many numerical results for two-dimensional models are presented.
