A comparative study of Bagley–Torvik equation under nonsingular kernel derivatives using Weeks method

open access: yesOpen Physics
Modeling several physical events leads to the Bagley–Torvik equation (BTE). In this study, we have taken into account the BTE, including the Caputo–Fabrizio and Atangana–Baleanu derivatives. It becomes challenging to find the analytical solution to these

Particle swarm optimization and its application to seismic inversion of igneous rocks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2017
In order to improve the fine structure inversion ability of igneous rocks for the exploration of underlying strata, based on particle swarm optimization (PSO), we have developed a method for seismic wave impedance inversion. Through numerical simulation,

An inversion method based on random sampling for real-time MEG neuroimaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The MagnetoEncephaloGraphy (MEG) is a non-invasive neuroimaging technique with a high temporal resolution which can be successfully used in real-time applications, such as brain-computer interface training or neurofeedback rehabilitation.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Numerical solution for nonlocal Sobolev-type differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
We present a numerical approximate solution to Sobolev-type differential equation subject to nonlocal initial boundary conditions. A Laplace transform method is described for the solution of considered equation.

Joule-Thomson Expansion of Kerr-AdS Black Holes

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson expansion for Kerr-AdS black holes in the extended phase space. Joule-Thomson expansion formula of Kerr-AdS black holes is derived.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Computer-Aided Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transform

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 2000
This paper explores the technique for the computer aided numerical inversion of Laplace transform. The inversion technique is based on the properties of a family of three parameter exponential probability density functions.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

Uniform Penalty inversion of two-dimensional NMR Relaxation data

open access: yes, 2016
The inversion of two-dimensional NMR data is an ill-posed problem related to the numerical computation of the inverse Laplace transform. In this paper we present the 2DUPEN algorithm that extends the Uniform Penalty (UPEN) algorithm [Borgia, Brown ...
