Stability analysis of a diagonally implicit scheme of block backward differentiation formula for stiff pharmacokinetics models

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this paper, we analyze the criteria for the stability of a method suited to the ordinary differential equations models. The relevant proof that the method satisfies the condition of stiff stability is also provided.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A novel one-step optimized hybrid block method for solving general second-order ordinary differential equations

open access: yesRecent Advances in Natural Sciences
This study introduces a novel one-step hybrid block method for solving both stiff and non-stiff second-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs).

On a Variational Method for Stiff Differential Equations Arising from Chemistry Kinetics

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
For the approximation of stiff systems of ODEs arising from chemistry kinetics, implicit integrators emerge as good candidates. This paper proposes a variational approach for this type of systems.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Ride Analysis For Suspension System of off-Road Tracked Vehicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
In this work. an attempt has been made to develop a programming package for ride analysis of off-road vehicles based upon a finite-element formulation of vehicle suspension systems.

Explicit Stabilized Methods for Stiff Stochastic Differential Equations and Stiff Optimal Control Problems

open access: yes, 2020
Explicit stabilized methods are an efficient and powerful alternative to implicit schemes for the time integration of stiff systems of differential equations in large dimensions.

A New Fixed Coefficient Diagonally Implicit Block Backward Differentiation Formula for Solving Stiff Initial Value Problems

open access: yesUMYU Scientifica Journal
Stiff initial value problems in ordinary differential equations occur when solution components evolve at varying rates, posing challenges for traditional computational methods.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
