Vector Additive Decomposition for 2D Fractional Diffusion Equation

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2008
Such physical processes as the diffusion in the environments with fractal geometry and the particles’ subdiffusion lead to the initial value problems for the nonlocal fractional order partial differential equations. These equations are the generalization

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Spectral Homotopy Analysis Method for PDEs That Model the Unsteady Von Kàrmàn Swirling Flow

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2014
A spectral homotopy analysis method (SHAM) is used to find numerical solutions for the unsteady viscous flow problem due to an infinite rotating disk. The problem is governed by a set of two fully coupled nonlinear partial differential equations.

From Tensor Equations to Numerical Code -- Computer Algebra Tools for Numerical Relativity

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we present our recent work in developing a computer-algebra tool for systems of partial differential equations (PDEs), termed "Kranc". Our work is motivated by the problem of finding solutions of the Einstein equations through numerical ...

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Numerical solutions of nonlinear fractional Wu–Zhang system for water surface versus three approximate schemes

open access: yesJournal of Ocean Engineering and Science, 2019
This paper examines the effects of three distinct numerical schemes (Adomian Decomposition, quintic & septic Spline methods) to investigate semi-analytical and approximate solutions on Wu–Zhang (ZW) system.

Dynamic characteristics of a variable-mass flexible missile [PDF]

open access: yes
The general motion of a variable mass flexible missile with internal flow and aerodynamic forces is considered. The resulting formulation comprises six ordinary differential equations for rigid body motion and three partial differential equations for ...

Effect of chemotherapy on passenger mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Changes in passenger mutation load and predicted immunotherapy response after chemotherapy treatment. Tumor cells rich with passenger mutations have increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. Correlation of passenger mutations with neoantigen load suggests highly mutated clones promote a more effective response to immunotherapy, and therefore, first‐line ...
