Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histologic markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and healthy

We introduce some basic theory about numerical range and numerical radius. Basic inequalities for numerical radius which involve one operator and basic inequalities which involve product of two commutative operators are studied. We then introduce more complex numerical radius inequalities for one operator, finding some upper bounds for the nonnegative ...

Matricial Radius: A Relation of Numerical radius with Matricial Range
It has been shown that if $T$ is a complex matrix, then {\small\begin{align*} (T)&=\frac{1}{n}\sup\left\{|\mathrm{Tr}\ X|;\ X\in W^n(T)\right\}\\ &=\frac{1}{n}\sup\left\{\|X\|_1;\ X\in W^n(T)\right\}\\ &= \sup\left\{ (X);\ X\in W^n(T)\right\} \end{align*} } where $n$ is a positive integer, $ (T)$ is the numerical radius and $W^n(T)$ is

This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Denseness of Numerical Radius Attaining Holomorphic Functions
We study the density of numerical radius attaining holomorphic functions on certain Banach spaces using the Lindenstrauss method. In particular, it is shown that if a complex Banach space X is locally uniformly convex, then the set of all numerical ...

Some norm inequalities for accretive Hilbert space operators
New norm inequalities for accretive operators on Hilbert space are given. Among other inequalities, we prove that if \(A, B \in \mathbb{B(H)}\) and \(B\) is self-adjoint and also \(C_{m,M}(iAB)\) is accretive, then \begin{eqnarray*} \frac{4 \sqrt ...

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

New norm equalities and inequalities for operator matrices
We prove new inequalities for general 2 × 2 $2\times2$ operator matrices. These inequalities, which are based on classical convexity inequalities, generalize earlier inequalities for sums of operators. Some other related results are also presented. Also,
