Entropy splitting for high-order numerical simulation of compressible turbulence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A stable high-order numerical scheme for direct numerical simulation (DNS) of shock-free compressible turbulence is presented. The method is applicable to general geometries. It contains no upwinding, artificial dissipation, or filtering.

MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF HEATED GAS DISSOCIATION PROCESS INTO THE RESERVOIR SATURATED WITH METHANE AND ITS HYDRATE

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Нефть и газ, 2018
The article presents the mathematical modeling of heated gas dissociation process into the reservoir saturated with methane and its hydrate. We studied how different factors has affected the dissociation process.

On the accuracy of invariant numerical schemes

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Analysis, 2011
In this paper we present a method of construction of invariant numerical schemes for partial differential equations. The resulting schemes preserve the Lie-symmetry group of the continuous equation and they are at least as accurate as the original scheme.

Playing with nonuniform grids [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Numerical experiments with discretization methods on nonuniform grids are presented for the convection-diffusion equation. These show that the accuracy of the discrete solution is not very well predicted by the local truncation error.

A simple Cartesian scheme for compressible multimaterials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a simple numerical method to simulate the interaction of two non-miscible compressible materials separated by an interface. The media considered may have significantly different physical properties and constitutive laws, describing for example

A comparison between analytic and numerical methods for modelling automotive dissipative silencers with mean flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Identifying an appropriate method for modelling automotive dissipative silencers normally requires one to choose between analytic and numerical methods.

gL1 Scheme for Solving a Class of Generalized Time-Fractional Diffusion Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, a numerical scheme based on a general temporal mesh is constructed for a generalized time-fractional diffusion problem of order α. The main idea involves the generalized linear interpolation and so we term the numerical scheme the gL1 ...

On Numerical Analysis of Bio-Ethanol Production Model with the Effect of Recycling and Death Rates under Fractal Fractional Operators with Three Different Kernels

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The main metabolism of yeasts produces bioethanol. Bioethanol, which is produced from biomass and bioenergy crops, has been promoted as one of the most viable alternatives to fossil fuels.
