ABSTRACT Ewing sarcoma (ES) and rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) are aggressive malignancies in children and adolescents where metastases impact prognosis. 18F‐fluoro‐2‐deoxy‐d‐glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG‐PET/CT) and bone marrow aspirate and trephine biopsies (BMAT) are used to identify disease involvement.

A numerical scheme using multi-shockpeakons to compute solutions of the Degasperis-Procesi equation
We consider a numerical scheme for entropy weak solutions of the DP (Degasperis-Procesi) equation $u_t - u_{xxt} + 4uu_x = 3u_{x}u_{xx}+ uu_{xxx}$. Multi-shockpeakons, functions of the form $$ u(x,t) =sum_{i=1}^n(m_i(t) -hbox{sign}(x-x_i(t))s_i(t ...

A Two-Step High-Order Compact Corrected WENO Scheme
In this study, we introduce a novel 2-step compact scheme-based high-order correction method for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Unlike traditional single-formula-based schemes, our proposed approach refines flux function values by leveraging results

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Hilbert schemes of hypersurfaces and numerical criterions.
The paper studies n-dimensional varieties in \({\mathbb{P}}^ N\) which are hypersurfaces in some linear subspace. These are called n-hypersurfaces. The first theorem in the paper states that if \(n>0\), then a subscheme of \({\mathbb{P}}^ N\) with the Hilbert polynomial of an n-hypersurface is indeed an n-hypersurface.

ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

On numerical approximation schemes for expectation propagation
Several numerical approximation strategies for the expectation-propagation algorithm are studied in the context of large-scale learning: the Laplace method, a faster variant of it, Gaussian quadrature, and a deterministic version of variational sampling (i.e., combining quadrature with variational approximation).

ABSTRACT Background Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience reduced physical function, fatigue, poor sleep quality, and impaired health‐related quality of life. Intradialytic exercise has been proposed as a non‐pharmacological strategy to improve these outcomes.

ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.
