NURBS APPROXIMATION OF A-SPLINES AND A-PATCHES
International Journal of Computational Geometry & Applications, 2003Given A-spline curves and A-patch surfaces that are implicitly defined on triangles and tetrahedra, we determine their NURBS representations. We provide a trimmed NURBS form for A-spline curves and a parametric tensor-product NURBS form for A-patch surfaces. We concentrate on cubic A-patches, providing a C1-continuous surface that interpolates a given

The popularity of the worldwide web and the easy availability of the digital content has brought the security issues to the forefront. NURBS is widely used in computer-aided geometry design and computer graphics for its strong representative properties. In this paper, we present a blind watermarking algorithm for NURBS surfaces.

A NURBS Representation for Cyclides
1991Cyclides have attracted the interest of researchers in recent years. This family of surfaces includes all the surfaces conventionally used in computer aided design of mechanical parts. They have been found very useful in defining blends and support naturally a piecewise approach to surface design.

An optimization of NURBS interpolation algorithm
IEEE 10th International Conference on Industrial Informatics, 2012I put forward a new interpolation called Adams-Bashforth interpolation of NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines) curve in order to realize higher precision under the condition of satisfying the speed demand. IN this method, I calculated next parameter point by Adams-Bashforth equation and I used difference equation instead of derivation.

We describe a novel NURBS surface fitting method to a human face model. Our first step is to resample of the original mesh model. The next step we fit a tensor product NURBS surface to the grid points. Our method is characteristic in that we use only one patch to fit the model.

Generalized NURBS curves and surfaces
Geometric Modeling and Processing, 2004. Proceedings, 2004A representation, the generalized NURBS (G-NURBS), is proposed for modeling parametric curves and surfaces. G-NURBS provides a unified framework for traditional parametric curve and surface. G-NURBS surface based on arbitrary irregular mesh can represent closed surface or trimmed surface with only one surface patch.

Shape computations with NURB curves
Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis and Manufacturing, 2018AbstractFreeform curves are commonly used in contemporary design practices, especially with digital modeling tools. We investigate facilitating shape subtraction and addition with two-dimensional (planar) non-uniform rational basis-spline (NURB) curves with the codes and conventions of modeling while preserving the visual continuity of curved shapes ...

Tessellating trimmed nurbs surfaces
Computer-Aided Design, 1995The problem addressed by the authors is triangulation of a surface given by rational tensor splines over a single parameter patch but with arbitrary holes and boundary curves. The simplicial approximation is required to stay within an \(\varepsilon\) distance from the surface in space.

DNurbs: DNA modeled with NURBS
Journal of Molecular Graphics, 1994DNurbs (dee-in-urbs) are a small number of bicubic patches wrapping each base pair in complementary DNA. NURBS, the nonuniform rational B-spline surfaces now popular in computer graphics, are employed for the patches. Control points for the surface patches are generated from the molecular surface based on canonical base pairs.

Biarc approximation of NURBS curves
Computer-Aided Design, 2002An algorithm for approximating arbitrary NURBS curves with biarcs is presented. The main idea is to approximate the NURBS curve with a polygon, and then to approximate the polygon with biarcs to within the required tolerance. The method uses a parametric formulation of biarcs appropriate in geometric design using parametric curves.
