NURBS approximation of surface/surface intersection curves
To compute parametric representations for non-parametric algebraic intersection curves requires approximation. In this paper, the authors present algorithms to construct a piecewise rational \(B\)-spline approximation to a space curve, which comes from the intersection of two implicitly defined surfaces, or the intersection of two parametric defined ...

Efficient rendering of trimmed nurbs surfaces
An algorithm for the interactive display of trimmed nurbs surfaces is presented. The algorithm converts the nurbs surfaces to Bézier surfaces, and nurbs trimming curves to Bézier curves. It tessellates each trimmed Bézier surface into triangles, and renders them using the triangle rendering capabilities common in current graphics systems.

Optical polishing can accurately correct the surface error through controlling the dwell time of the polishing tool on the element surface. Thus, the precision of the trajectory and the dwell time (the runtime of the trajectory) are important factors ...

Watermarking Algorithms for 3D NURBS Graphic Data
Two watermarking algorithms for 3D nonuniform rational B-spline (NURBS) graphic data are proposed: one is appropriate for the steganography, and the other for watermarking.

Existing shape models with spherical topology are typically designed either in the discrete domain using interpolating polygon meshes or in the continuous domain using smooth but non-interpolating schemes such as subdivision or NURBS. Both polygon models

Generating NURBS cladding and structures with parametric programming and BIM
The process of designing and building curvilinear architectures is still challenging. The use of multiple applications with distinctive design paradigms are unlikely to disappear. The interoperability used here was not only the conventional one.
