Comparison Between T-Spline Surface and NURBS Surface [PDF]
This research uses T-spline for surface modeling and compares it with NURBS modeling to get the best modeling points between the two methods. The comparison will be through surface analysis and manufacturing process.T-Splines surfaces typically have 50 ...

Texture Mapping on NURBS Surface [PDF]
Texture mapping allows high resolution details over 3D surfaces. Nevertheless, texture mapping has a number of unresolved problems such as distortion, boundary between textures or filtering. On the other hand, NURBS surfaces are usually decomposed into a

Quasi-Isotropic Initial Triangulation of NURBS Surfaces [PDF]
Isotropic triangulation of NURBS surfaces provides high quality triangular meshes, where all triangles are equilateral. This isotropy increases representation quality and analysis accuracy.

An explicit and rapid intersection algorithm of plane and NURBS surface in CNC surface machining [PDF]
To address the challenge of plane-surface intersection in toolpath planning for CNC surface machining, a rapid intersection algorithm between a plane and a NURBS surface is proposed, which can provide an explicit Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS ...

Interactive rendering of NURBS surfaces [PDF]

Efficient rendering of trimmed nurbs surfaces
An algorithm for the interactive display of trimmed nurbs surfaces is presented. The algorithm converts the nurbs surfaces to Bézier surfaces, and nurbs trimming curves to Bézier curves. It tessellates each trimmed Bézier surface into triangles, and renders them using the triangle rendering capabilities common in current graphics systems.

Polar NURBS Surface with Curvature Continuity [PDF]
AbstractPolar NURBS surface is a kind of periodic NURBS surface, one boundary of which shrinks to a degenerate polar point. The specific topology of its control‐point mesh offers the ability to represent a cap‐like surface, which is common in geometric modeling.

Although the uniform theory of diffraction (UTD) could be theoretically applied to arbitrarilyshaped convex objects modeled by nonuniform rational B-splines (NURBS), one of the great challenges in calculation of the UTD surface diffracted fields is the ...

Fast Determination and Computation of Self-intersections for NURBS Surfaces
Self-intersections of NURBS surfaces are unavoidable during the CAD modeling process, especially in operations such as offset or sweeping. The existence of self-intersections might cause problems in the subsequent simulation and manufacturing process ...
