Ground‐ and Excited‐State Mixed Valency in a 4,4′‐Bipyridine‐Bridged Bimetallic Di‐Ruthenium Complex
Photoinduced mixed‐valence interactions across a 4,4′‐bpy bridge were studied. MLCT excited states in the bimetallic complex are longer‐lived than in the monometallic reference, thanks to metal–metal electronic coupling and hole delocalization, but are still shorter than the nanosecond timescale relevant for diffusional reactivity.

Clinical use and radiological yield of magnetic resonance fingerprinting in epilepsy
Abstract Objective Magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF) is a novel paradigm for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that efficiently generates multiparametric quantitative tissue property maps with a single acquisition. Its quantitative nature offers many advantages over conventional MRI.

Abstract Objective Circulating small noncoding RNAs represent potential biomarkers of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Recently, two transfer RNA fragments (tRFs), 5′tRF Glu‐CTC and Gly‐GCC, were found to be elevated in plasma samples collected in advance of a seizure in TLE patients, suggesting they may serve as potential wet biomarkers of seizure risk ...

WONOEP XVII appraisal: The role of the extracellular matrix in epilepsy
Abstract The extracellular matrix (ECM) is composed of proteoglycans and glycoproteins that regulate the external environment surrounding neurons, glia, and the vascular system. The ECM is vital for maintaining the structure and function of the brain and also acts as a reservoir for various signaling molecules and neurotransmitters, modulating synaptic

ILAE‐YES global webinar series: Integrating clinical and basic science in epilepsy research
An ILAE‐YES global webinar series bridging basic and clinical epilepsy research inspired new research ideas in 80% of participants. Abstract Summary Bridging clinical and basic research is increasingly recognized as a priority in the epilepsy field, yet opportunities for integration remain limited by the time, space, and financial constraints of ...

Abstract Objective Children and adolescents with pharmacoresistant epilepsy (PRE) show marked individual cognitive and emotional variability not fully accounted for by demographic or clinical variables. This exploratory pilot study characterizes neuroanatomical abnormalities and their relationships with neuropsychological functioning in a pediatric ...
