Behaviour of Temperate Reef Fish Species Around Oyster Aquaculture Farms and Natural Rock Reefs

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Cultivation of eastern oysters using aquaculture gear increases habitat for temperate reef fish. Cunner (Tautogolabrus adspersus), scup (Stenotomus chrysops) and tautog (Tautoga onitis) inhabit a variety of complex natural and manmade habitats, including oyster aquaculture cage farms.

Cooking for others is food for the soul: Consistent momentary, but mixed trait‐level well‐being benefits for home cooks

open access: yesApplied Psychology: Health and Well-Being, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Prosocial behavior can promote well‐being, yet the effects of everyday acts—such as cooking for others—remain understudied. Across four studies (N > 1,500), we developed and validated a Prosocial Cooking Scale and examined its well‐being effects using cross‐sectional surveys and ecological momentary assessment (EMA).
