Identifying optimal seed sources is critical for the propagation and restoration of Juglans neotropica Diels in the northern Ecuadorian Andes, where populations are declining due to habitat loss and overexploitation. This study evaluated the seed quality

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Adverse events and tolerability of ketogenic diets – a systematic literature analysis
Background Ketogenic diets (KDs) are becoming increasingly popular in the treatment of various diseases, not just pharmacoresistant epilepsy. Despite the growing use of this dietary approach and its economic rationale, a systematic overview of the ...

Higher Dimensional Taub-NUTs and Taub-Bolts in Einstein-Maxwell Gravity
We present a class of higher dimensional solutions to Einstein-Maxwell equations in d-dimensions. These solutions are asymptotically locally flat, de-Sitter, or anti-de Sitter space-times.

Runge-Lenz operator for Dirac field in Taub-NUT background [PDF]
Fermions in D=4 self-dual Euclidean Taub-NUT space are investigated. Dirac-type operators involving Killing-Yano tensors of the Taub-NUT geometry are explicitly given showing that they anticommute with the standard Dirac operator and commute with the ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

A valid method for determining the water content of the Brazil nut (Bertholletia excelsa)
For proper handling of a product knowledge regarding its water content is essential. To provide fast, inexpensive and reliable results, the direct evaporation method of water in oil bath (EDABO) has been proven to be a viable alternative, at all stages ...

Conserved Charges in Even Dimensional Asymptotically locally Anti-de Sitter Space-times
Based on the recent paper hep-th/0503045, we derive a formula of calculating conserved charges in even dimensional asymptotically {\it locally} anti-de Sitter space-times by using the definition of Wald and Zoupas.

Integrability in conformally coupled gravity: Taub-NUT spacetimes and rotating black holes [PDF]
We consider four dimensional stationary and axially symmetric spacetimes for conformally coupled scalar-tensor theories. We show that, in analogy to the Lewis-Papapetrou problem in General Relativity (GR), the theory at hand can be recast in an analogous
