Impact of Prior Biologic Mechanism of Action on Anti‐TNF Effectiveness in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: An ENEIDA Registry Study
Alimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView. In this nationwide ENEIDA registry study, anti‐TNF therapy after prior exposure to a different biologic mechanism of action showed reduced treatment durability in inflammatory bowel disease, with a particularly marked impact in ulcerative colitis, where short‐ and long‐term clinical effectiveness was also lower. Developmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.Abstract
Children with neurological impairment (CNI) are at increased risk of malnutrition because of functional, medical, and socioeconomic challenges. However, difficulties in obtaining reliable anthropometric measurements and differences in body composition limit the usefulness of conventional nutritional indicators.Sarah Vermilyea, Jodi Wolff, Gina Rempel, Jessie M. Obesity Reviews, EarlyView.Obesity drives chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cancer development through adipocyte dysfunction. Addressing this multisystemic disorder requires integrated strategies beyond diet and exercise, such as thermogenesis activation via menthol or capsinoids and appetite control through GLP‐1/GIP agonists and neuromodulation to ...Jesica Martínez‐Godfrey, Irene Pomares‐Bri, Paula de Juan‐Maciá, Mariló Olivares‐Vicente, Enrique Barrajón‐Catalán, Vicente Micol, Enrique Roche, María Herranz‐López +7 morewiley +1 more sourceAppendicular Skeletal Muscle Mass and Sarcopenia as Prognostic Markers in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 5, October 2026.ABSTRACT Background
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive muscle wasting and functional decline. Prognostic assessment in clinical practice relies largely on functional scales and traditional anthropometric measures. The prognostic relevance of muscle mass, muscle strength and sarcopenia in ALS remains incompletely defined.María Teresa Zarco‐Martín, María Carmen Andreo‐López, Miriam Soraya Yagui‐Beltrán, María Luisa Fernández‐Soto +3 morewiley +1 more sourceIMPROVE 2025: The 3rd International Meeting on Pathway‐Related Obesity: Vision & Evidence
