Laying performance, blood profiles, nutrient digestibility and inner organs traits of hens fed an insect meal from Hermetia illucens larvae.

Research in Veterinary Science, 2018
Given probable the increment in the nutritional needs of both humans and animals, animal production will have increased dramatically by 2050. Insect meals could be an alternative protein source for livestock, and they would also be able to reduce the ...

Nutrient Digestibility of Brewers Single Cell Protein

Journal of Animal Science, 1983
Six growing wethers were used in a total collection digestion trial to estimate the nutrient digestibility of brewers single cell protein (BSCP). The BSCP product was obtained by allowing microbial growth to occur aerobically on the effluent wash waters of a brewery and then harvesting the solids through a spray drying procedure.
