Nutrient recovery from urine: K and P recovery
K and P removal from human urine was investigated by a thermodynamic study of KMgPO4.6H2O precipitation from synthetic and human urine. In synthetic urine, the maximal achievable K and P recovery was 40.5% and 90.7% respectively.
