Silicon Enhances Functional Mitochondrial Transfer to Improve Neurovascularization in Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
These findings reveal that silicon exerts strong protective effects in diabetic bone defect models by selectively promoting Drp1‐Mff activity. Silicon facilitates precise regulation of mitochondrial dynamics to enable functional mitochondrial transfer.

SSRP1/SLC3A2 Axis in Arginine Transport: A New Target for Overcoming Immune Evasion and Tumor Progression in Peripheral T‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enhanced arginine uptake is a critical feature of metabolic reprogramming in PTCL, characterized by elevated expression of the arginine transporter SLC3A2. SLC3A2‐mediated arginine uptake facilitates PTCL proliferation and survival by enhancing OXPHOS metabolism and inducing immune evasion.

Mechanisms of Baicalin Alleviates Intestinal Inflammation: Role of M1 Macrophage Polarization and Lactobacillus amylovorus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Baicalin alleviates E. coli‐induced intestinal inflammation through dual mechanisms: direct inhibition of the TLR4/IRF/STAT signaling pathway to modulate macrophage polarization and antigen presentation, thereby regulating Th17/Treg cell differentiation; and microbiota‐mediated indirect effects via increasing Lactobacillus amylovorus abundance and ...

Exercise without Weight Loss Prevents Seasonal Decline in Vitamin D Metabolites: The VitaDEx Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In people with overweight or obesity, regular exercise even without weight loss or vitamin D supplementation completely prevents the usual winter decline in the vitamin D metabolite that maintains health at a cellular level, 1,25(OH)2D3, and ameliorates the decline in the vitamin D status marker 25(OH)D.

FRET‐Based Sensor Zebrafish Reveal Muscle Cells Do Not Undergo Apoptosis in Starvation or Natural Aging‐Induced Muscle Atrophy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 12, March 27, 2025.
Fluorescence resonance energy transfer‐based sensor zebrafish are generated to visualize muscle cell apoptosis in live animals by color change from green to blue. Using these sensors zebrafish, starvation‐induced, or natural aging‐induced muscle atrophy models are established. The diameters of muscle cells decrease in both models; however, muscle cells
