Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Well‐Defined M6P(n)‐Modified Glycopeptides for Targeted Protein Degradation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A synthetic methodology has been developed to prepare multifunctional M6P and M6Pn ligands of different valency. The glycopeptides were conjugated to cetuximab and then examined to mediate cellular uptake of fluorescently labeled EGFRvIII. Only cetuximab modified by glycopeptides having 3 or 6 M6P or M6Pn residues demonstrated greater uptake.

Mechanistic Insights Into Sustainable Catalytic Pyrolysis of Biomass‐Derived Ferulic Acid: The Role of Alumina Regeneration

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Surface‐bound ferulate phenolate complexes undergo styrene‐like polymerization on alumina, yielding a polymeric carbonaceous layer that progressively transforms into polyaromatic carbon domains with concomitant release of aromatic products, while parallel surface‐assisted decarboxylation produces 4‐vinylguaiacol. ABSTRACT A fundamental understanding of

Microbiome and aging: Trajectories of microbiome age across human ecosystems and their systemic effects

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Microbiome age (MA) has emerged as an innovative biomarker of biological aging, reflecting host aging trajectories through dynamic alterations in microbial composition, function, and host–microbe interactions across multiple body ecosystems. Diverse computational strategies—including traditional machine learning, deep learning, and multi‐omics ...

Partial nitritation and o-cresol removal with aerobic granular biomass in a continuous airlift reactor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Several chemical industries produce wastewaters containing both, ammonium and phenolic compounds. As an alternative to treat this kind of complex industrial wastewaters, this study presents the simultaneous partial nitritation and o-cresol biodegradation

An efficient and highly selective ortho-tert-butylation of p-cresol with methyl tert-butyl ether catalyzed by sulfonated ionic liquids [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2014
A novel series of sulfonic acid-functionalized ionic liquids (SFILs) was found to act as efficient catalysts for ortho-tert-butylation of p-cresol with methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) as the tert-butylating agent without an added solvent.

Enhanced photodegradation of o-cresol in aqueous Mn(1%)-doped ZnO suspensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The effective removal of o-cresol is currently both an environmental and economic challenge. ZnO is not only an efficient photocatalyst but is also cost effective, as its photoabsorption can extend from the ultraviolet (UV) to the visible range thereby ...

Protection of Eggplant Seed Germination from the Inhibitory Effect of o-Cresol by Bioaugmentation of Soil with Pseudomonas monteilii Strain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Bulk production and widespread end use of cresol isomers in various industrial processes result in their ubiquitous presence in the environment. Cresols are highly toxic to both fauna and flora and are included in the list of priority pollutants.
