Blood group O expression in normal tissues and tumors
The H antigen (O blood group), the precursor to A and B blood groups, is expressed on human erythrocytes. However, reliable reagents for H antigen detection are lacking. We generated two novel monoclonal antibodies using sea lamprey immunization, Tn4‐31L and OmcFL3‐02, that specifically detect the H antigen on glycan microarrays, glycoproteins, and ...

The straight forward preparable [PNP]+ and [PPh4]+ salts of benzenesulfonic acid and its perfluorinated congener are highly soluble sources of these anions for various reactions. The [PNP]+ and [PPh4]+ salts of benzenesulfonic acid (HBS) and pentafluorobenzenesulfonic acid (HPFBS) are prepared by metathesis reactions using the sodium sulfonates, [PNP ...

Proteus mirabilis RMS 203 as a new representative of the O13 Proteus serogroup
The unique feature of some Proteus O-polysaccharides is occurrence of an amide of galacturonic acid with N(ε)-[(S/R)-1-Carboxyethyl]-L-lysine, GalA6(2S,8S/R-AlaLys). The results of the serological studies presented here, with reference to known O-antigens structures suggest that GalA6(2S,8S/R-AlaLys) or 2S,8R-AlaLys contribute to cross-reactions of O13
