O17 Endogenous double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) in melanoma: an attack from within

British Journal of Dermatology, 2023
Recent studies have linked endogenous double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) to the development of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and cancer. However, the scale of dsRNA formation and its biological consequences is still unclear.

O17. The development of ‘time release’ nail enamels

International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2000
Synopsis In our recent studies on the effects of plasticizers on nail enamel films, we developed a high interest in a phenomenon that we named as ‘internal flow’[1]. During the film forming process there is an area that develops beneath the film surface where the film components remain dynamic and mobile. The time frame during which the film maintains

O17 Effectiveness of rituximab in the treatment of neuro-psychiatric SLE: results from the British Isles Lupus Assessment Group Biologics Register

, 2021
Background/Aims  Neuro-psychiatric (NP) involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can occur in 56.3% cases. Rituximab (RTX) has been demonstrated to be safe and efficacious in the treatment of refractory SLE although there is limited evidence ...

Quadrupole enhancement in O17 and F17

Nuclear Physics, 1959
Abstract A previous calculation of E2 enhancement is improved, first by refining the single-particle functions, and then by using Brillouin-Wigner in place of Rayleigh-Schroedinger perturbation theory. The higher order correlations thus introduced enable one to bring the theory into agreement with the data on both O17 and F17.

The 3.06 and 3.85 MeV states in O17

Nuclear Physics, 1964
Abstract The 3.06 and 3.85 MeV states in O17 have been excited by the reaction C14(α, n)O17, the gamma-ray de-excitation of these states being observed in coincidence with neutrons. The attenuated Doppler shifts of the gamma rays were measured and lead to lifetime estimates of 1.2−0.6+0.8 and ≦ 0.25 × 10−13 sec respectively.

EPR Study of O17- on Magnesium Oxide

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1971
The EPR spectrum of O17- on MgO has been obtained by the reaction of N2O containing 71.9% oxygen-17 isotope with trapped electrons on an MgO surface. The spectrum of the ion is characterized by g ⊥=2.042 and g ∥=2.0013 with A⊥=19.5±0.1G and A ∥=103.2±0.1G. A quadrupole interaction of Q⊥=1.3±0.2G was also determined.

Microwave dielectric properties of La5(Ti4B)O17 and Nd5(Ti4B)O17 (B = Cr, Fe) ceramics

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2014
Compositions in the A5B5O17 (A = La, Nd, B = Cr, Fe) series were processed through a mixed oxide solid state sintering route. X-ray diffraction revealed an orthorhombic (Pnnm) symmetry for La5Ti4FeO17 and monoclinic (P21/b) symmetry for Nd5Ti4FeO17, associated with the higher tolerance factor of Nd5Ti4FeO17 than Nd5Ti4CrO17.

An improved technique for the preparation of O17 targets

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1964
Abstract This note describes an improved technique for producing thin films containing O 17 , suitable for nuclear spectroscopy. Tungsten oxide is obtained from the chemical reaction between a heated tungsten filament and enriched oxygen gas. The oxide is then evaporated on to thin carbon backings.
