Negative-parity inversion doublet α-cluster band in O18
The α-cluster structure of the O18 nucleus is investigated by studying the properties of a global optical model potential which describes C14(α,α) elastic scattering at 28, 40, and 54 MeV on the whole angular range.

Bottled Water and the Social Sciences: A Review and Agenda for Future Research
ABSTRACT Social sciences approach the steady rise of bottled water consumption at the beginning of the 21st century from four analytical vantage points: political economy, semiotics and lifestyle, political ecology, and materiality‐centered. Each analytic has crucial methodological and conceptual contributions to make, as well as zones of potential ...

Analysis of pairing correlations in neutron transfer reactions and comparison to the constrained molecular dynamics model [PDF]
<p>The transfer yields mass spectra were measured in B11,C12,13,Si28(O18,O17) and B11,C12,13,Si28(O18,O16) reactions at 84 MeV. The two-neutron transfer (2NT) and the one-neutron transfer (1NT) cross sections were extracted for all the systems. The

Impact of Apical Shaping Diameter on Bacterial Load Reduction in Multispecies Infected Root Canals
Aim To evaluate the impact of larger apical shaping and the efficacy of different disinfection protocols on increasing the bacterial reduction. Methods Enterococcus faecalis (E.F.) was cultivated on plate count agar (PCA) and then transferred to test tubes containing brain heart infusion (BHI) broth.

Neutrons and Gamma Rays from the Alpha-Particle Bombardment of Be9, B10, B11, C13, and O18 [PDF]
Excitation curves at 0° and 90° were studied for neutrons and γ rays produced in bombardment of thin targets of Be9, B10, B11, C13, and O18 by α particles with energies of from 1.8 to 5.3 Mev.
