Polymorphism and Structural Variety in Sn(II) Carboxylate Coordination Polymers Revealed from Structure Solution of Microcrystals

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 20, 2025.
A set of coordination polymers constructed from Sn(II) and polycarboxylate ligands crystallize under hydrothermal conditions as microcrystalline powders. Structure solution using either synchrotron X‐ray diffraction or 3D‐electron diffraction reveals complex structural chemistry and polymorphism in this family of materials, in part due to the ...

The relativistic correction of the quarkonium melting temperature with a holographic potential

open access: yes, 2012
The relativistic correction of the AdS/CFT implied heavy quark potential is examined within the framework of the potential model. For the typical range of the coupling strength appropriate to heavy-ion collisions, we find the correction is significant in

Pregnancy and perinatal outcomes in women with recurrent pregnancy loss—A case–control study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 2, Page 368-379, February 2025.
History of recurrent pregnancy loss is associated with greater risks for hypertensive pregnancy disorders, placental problems, and preterm birth in the subsequent pregnancy. These pregnancies require careful follow‐up and support. Abstract Introduction Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), defined as two or more pregnancy losses, might be associated with ...

Exploring Links Between Engaging Customers in Value Co-Creation and Product Innovativeness

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management and Economics, 2017
The study examines the hypothesis that firms engaging customers in value co-creation tend to display more innovativeness. As such, it is one of the few quantitative studies on the link between these two concepts.

[my]-Hydroxido-bis[(2,20-bipyridine)-tricarbonylrhenium(I)] perrhenate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The title compound, [Re2(OH)(C10H8N2)2(CO)6][ReO4], is a mixed-valence rhenium compound containing discrete anions and cations. The ReI atoms are in a slightly distorted octahedral environment, whereas the ReVII atoms show the typical tetrahedral ...

Constraints on CP violation in the Higgs sector from the $\rho$ parameter

open access: yes, 1993
We discuss the relation between the CP symmetry and the custodial $SU(2)$ symmetry in the Higgs sector. In particular, we show that CP violation in the Higgs-gauge sector is allowed only if the custodial $SU(2)$ symmetry is broken. We exploit these facts

Variation of inflammatory dynamics and mediators in primiparous cows after intramammary challenge with Escherichia coli [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The objective of the current study was to investigate (i) the outcome of experimentally induced Escherichia coli mastitis in primiparous cows during early lactation in relation with production of eicosanoids and inflammatory indicators, and (ii) the ...

Self‐aggregation of zinc bacteriochlorophyll‐d analogs with an acylhydrazone moiety as the 13‐keto‐carbonyl alternative

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, Volume 101, Issue 1, Page 63-69, January/February 2025.
Zinc bacteriochlorophyll‐d analogs possessing an acylhydrazone moiety as the 13‐keto‐carbonyl alternative were prepared. Similar to self‐aggregation in chlorosomes, synthetic models with R=(CH2)1~6H self‐aggregated in an aqueous Triton X‐100 solution to give red‐shifted and broadened visible absorption bands with intense CD bands.
