O40-6 Increased lung function decline rate in workers of grinding wheel manufacturing

Oral Session 40 – Respiratory 2, 2016
Objectives The rate of lung function decline has been recognised as a predictor for mortality. Workers in grinding wheel manufacturing exposed to inorganic fine particulates (e.g. free silica, silicon carbide, or aluminium oxide). Information about their longitudinal lung function change is relatively limited.

Structure of a lactic acid ether-containing and glycerol phosphate-containing O-polysaccharide from Proteus mirabilis O40

Carbohydrate Research, 2005
An O-polysaccharide was isolated by mild acid hydrolysis from the lipopolysaccharide of Proteus mirabilis O40 and studied by NMR spectroscopy, including 2D 1H, 1H COSY, TOCSY, ROESY, and 1H, 13C HMQC experiments, along with chemical methods. The polysaccharide was found to contain an ether of GlcNAc with lactic acid and glycerol phosphate in the main ...

Preparation and voltammetric characterization of Keggin-type tungstovanadate [VW12O40]3− and [V(VW11)O40]4− complexes

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 2003
Abstract A 12-tungstovanadate complex, [VW 12 O 40 ] 3− was prepared as the tetrabutylammonium (n-Bu 4 N + ) salt by heating a 50 mM (M=mol dm −3 ) W(VI)–50 mM V(V)–1.5 M HCl–80% (v/v) CH 3 CN system at 70 °C for 24 h. The α-Keggin structure was confirmed by 183 W NMR spectroscopy.

O40 TELOMERE LENGTH AS A BIOMARKER FOR KIDNEY HEALTH: EVIDENCE FROM A MENDELIAN RANDOMISATION STUDY

Journal of Hypertension
Background and Objective: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a significant public health challenge, often progressing undetected until advanced stages. Early detection through biomarkers can enhance CKD management and improve patient outcomes. Previous studies suggested a link between telomeres and kidney health, but these results
